How do I go about hiring a private detective?
There is really nothing to it. What generally is done is that an agreement to hire is completed and signed. The agreement contains the type of service to be performed, and the costs of performing the service. In some cases our agency will accept a signed fax or signed stamped email stating that the person or business accepts our rates and wants us to perform a service for them. We then accept an up front cash / check amount or credit card deposit to begin services. This initial amount varies from case to case ($500 for common surveillance jobs & $1000 - $2000 for large size cases). This initial amount is applied to the hours we work.
Note that we often advise potential customers before an agreement is made. The last thing we want is for us to be hired on a case that has a slight chance for a clear cut outcome. Why would someone hire a person to perform surveillance for a few hours in the hopes that the outcome of the case would be solved in those random hours? If nothing of significance is witnessed in that time, does that mean that a person is innocent or nothing is occurring? Of course not. This happens quit often in domestic cases when people hire detectives with little notice based on an emotional response.
Often we propose an investigation that includes the help of surveillance and tracking equipment. By using surveillance and tracking equipment, we can attain information that can help pinpoint hours needed for man hour surveillance. In conclusion, our clients receive a conclusion to a case with a cost of half of what would it be if they hired some other agency.
Will the fact I hired your services be kept confidential?
Burbridge Detective Agency will not release any information in regards to their clients or the work they performed for them outside the agency. Some exceptions my include, searching for a missing child, or working on a criminal or civil case where possible witnesses need to be questioned, or any other case where outside people need to be questioned to solve the case.
What areas can you perform services?

- We can ship surveillance equipment for those who want to perform their own investigations to anywhere in the US.
- Despite performing investigations ourselves in State of Indiana, we do have a trusted network of detectives that we use throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
